"i’ve written a lot of words. boxes of them. textbooks. ‘experimental’novels. snailmail. email. i’ve embroidered words. typed words. stamped words. handwritten words. painted words large.  my work is about words. a small word piece of mine hangs on display at the hallie ford museum. people actually pause and look closely in at it to see what it says. words do that to people. they pause to read. the two pieces in this show “nude” and “snitch” are drawn in ink on panel cards. to me, each appears to be a “picture” of what the words represent. you might not hang a nude on a wall in your home, but the word itself?"
